The Timmins Cache Campground Walleye Tournament is set to go on Sept 10-11 and last year’s winners are in everyone’s sights. Last year Dan Hein and DJ Germain blew away the competition with their large weights each day. In fact, they had their boat on the trailer each day by noon. Obviously their prefish went extremely well and finding solid fish tournament days was easy for the team that has won more NOWT events then any other team. This year has been a more competitive trail for all as shown by the fact there is no repeat winners thus far with 2 tournaments left to go. It is looking like the Princecraft Angler of The Year won’t be decided until the final day at The Sagamok Fall Walleye Classic Sept 24-25. Spots are still open to register for the Cache Tournament. It is going to be a great tournament and exciting to see who comes out on top.
Jamie Robinson and Terry Bernath are leading the Princecraft Angler of the Year standings and a strong showing will definitely put them in the driver’s seat for the title. A big win in Mattagami and consistency at the other events have paid off for this duo. The pressure will be on and many eyes will be on them. Denis Martin will also be chasing down another Princecraft Angler of the Year Title with a season anchored by a win at the Geraldton Walleye Classic. Denis is also planning to fish the last 2 events as well. Good luck to all Anglers and stay safe out there. Check back for results to see who is on top after The Cache.
