2014 Mattagami First Nation Walleye Tournament winners Craig Salmonson and Tory Garneau
The first event of the NOWT season ended with applause as Craig Salmonson and Tory Garneau (Timmins) repeated their 2013 win at the 2014 Mattagami Lake First Nations Walleye Tournament. Their 2-day weight of 29.58 pounds netted them the first place prize of $8000.
In the 15th year of this event, 94 returning and new participants were treated to another successful event by the Mattagami Fur Council at the Mattagami First Nation.
