The NOWT is a non-profit, volunteer driven organization that promotes sport fishing through sanctioned walleye tournaments.

We are inviting anglers who have fished at least 1 NOWT sanctioned event in the past season to submit an expression of interest to join the board of directors to guide the NOWT to a great future.  If you know an angler who would be a great addition to the organization, nominations may also be submitted in response to this posting.

As a board member you are committed to the NOWT’s vision, mission and values.  You have strong personal and professional integrity and have experience or desire to collaborate within a role of governance.

There are a total of 5 positions of “at large” board members.  In the event of an excess of 5 submissions, an open election will take place among the NOWT community.

Through your skills and experience you will:

  • Ensure the NOWT grows through its values, mission, and vision
  • Guide NOWT to achieve strategic directions
  • Contribute to decisions in the best interest of the NOWT

Requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • Preferably reside in the region of NOWT sanctioned events – northern Ontario
  • Be familiar with the sport of angling
