The Kap River hosted the 2010 Walleye tournament with the local team of Rusty Smith and Deano Bliss capturing the event. They barely edged out Marc Scalabrini and Jaques Scalabrini of Timmins and another local team of Wendy Wrainville and Michel Dubosq. All three teams finished within 0.6 of a pound between them.
